Dorex-M  Is Made Of PDO (Polydioxanone, Also Known as PDSII).  

Polydioxanone is non-antigenic, non-pyrogenic and may elicit  minimal tissue reaction during the absorption process. It enables smooth passage in tissue and is ideal for internal tissues where a long lasting absorption is required, pediatric cardiovascular surgery, ophthalmic surgery etc.

It has excellent stitching characteristics and after 2 weeks post implantaion retains 80% of its original tear strength. After 5 weeks post implantation it still retains 50% and  44% at 8 weeks. Complete absorption is within 150 - 180 days.
